What is Conscious Ageing?

  • Ageing is the process of getting older.
  • ‘Conscious’ is being aware and responsive to one’s environment.
  • ‘Conscious Ageing’ is the awareness of transitioning through the stages of life and engaging with it in a positive and active manner.
  • We’re all aging. That is a fact. However, we have a choice about how we age. When we choose to age consciously, we transform the inevitable into a rich opportunity to enter the realm of enchanted living!
  • Conscious ageing is about being fully alive and engaged in life for however long we’re here. It’s about embracing this gift of life without losing enthusiasm, passion, creativity, joie de vivre, or a sense of belonging. And it’s about being youthful without needing to be young.

A modern elder is authentic, adaptable, curious, wise, and self-aware.
